Aquarama 2001 was held in Singapore from 31st May - 3 June 2001. It was indeed a glamorous exhibition, since it's first appearance in 1989. There were 836 competition tanks, although the number set aside for Discus was only 180. Nevermind the number, but it still showcase a variety of Discus bred by well-known breeders from Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand and other countries.

There were 7 classes or types of Discus competing:

Class 1 : Solid Blue/Green form

Class 2 : Solid Red / Brown

Class 3 : Solid Yellow form

Class 4 : Striped form - Thick Line

Class 5 : Striped form - Thin Line

Class 6 : Spotted form

Class 7 : Open
