Broken Tail, see the broken tail at the end? Yup, that's why I named him that. I tend to name my Discus based on how I remember them. If you are think what happened is the result of losing an all out war to Eye Changer, you're wrong. He was struck by a deadly disease! He was one of the four of my Discus that went on a sick leave for two weeks. Then, he was in the most critical condition. He was black, fearful and was totally listless! He's scales pealed off from the back tail. You can see the scar (the pinkish thing) at his tail in the picture above. Not eager for beefheart anymore. Not responding to my knocks on the tank.

After a week of treatment with Ocean Free's "3rd Generation Super Cure" for blackening Discus, they were still the same. Fortunately, my dad had a friend who has good experience with Discus. He recommended a Japanese antibacterial yellow powder. With the temp. at 32°C, a packet of salt when in with the yellow powder. The next day the foursome were not as fearful and they were starting to fight! A week past and they were back to normal and eating again. I so SOO relieved! I had a record of "no dead" Discus to keep and I did.

Here's the new photo of Brokentail featuring his new self! He has grown from a tiny little Blue Diamond to a full grown magneficent Discus.
